Lighting
Within the realm of lighting, I really enjoy being an electrician, as well as a designer. Collaborating with other artists to bring their visions to life, or to bring my ideas to fruition, is extremely rewarding and always creates a beautiful sense of shared success. Here are some of the projects I have worked on!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
By Simon Stephens
Director: Fabrice Conte-Williamson
Lighting Design: Jake Bray and Bryan Byars
Assistant Lighting Design: Maria Cervantes and Erin Dillon
Master Electrician: Jenny Bauer
While acting and assistant lighting designing this show were a bit difficult at times, all the work my team and I put into it really paid off. I learned a ton about drafting, angles, wiring, LED tape, color, and while being on stage, I got to see these ideas come to life from an actor's perspective. It was a very rewarding process and I loved being on both sides of this show!
Indecent
By Paula Vogel
Director: Rachael Swartz
Lighting Design: Erin Dillon
Master Electrician: Jenny Bauer and Savana Andershock
One of my favorite aspects of this show was collaborating with the director. I had a lot of ideas coming into the design, and they helped me hone those ideas to best support the story. I used decreased levels to better support the intimacy of certain scenes, texture to highlight the complexity of situations, and a mix of warm and cool whites to distinguish time periods.

Play That Goes Wrong
By: Henry Lewis, Henry Shields, and Jonathon Sayer
Director: Nic Cicerale
Lighting Design: Erin Dillon
This show was such a joy to work on. The High schoolers I worked with were hysterical and always so excited to learn about lighting! As a performance within a performance, I used traditional stage lighting to contrast the comedy from the attempted dramatic performance, and I used saturation to exaggerate the ridiculousness of the drama.
Dear Elizabeth
By Sarah Ruhl
Director: Nic Cicerale
Lighting Design: Erin Dillon
This show was done at the High School I went to. They were kind enough to ask me to come back to design this show with them, and I gratefully accepted. Since this show was produced late in 2020, the director wanted to diminish the fact that the actors were wearing masks. To help that idea, I played a lot with saturation, downlight, and backlight. In this production, there were two actors per character; 2 of them would be on-stage doing the actions of the scene, while the other two would be projected onto screens who would perform the lines unmasked. This was a bit of a challenge, trying not to get the light onto the screens, but with a few shutter cuts, it turned out really great.

Stupid F##ing Bird
By Aaron Posner
Director: Fabrice Conte-Williamson
Lighting Design: Jake Bray and Jenny Bauer
Master Electrician/Board Operator: Erin Dillon
The chandelier shown in these photos was made by Master Carpenter Taylor Ramcke and wired by moi! I was really excited to wire all of the lights together using wire nuts and see it truly come to life. It was my proudest achievement during this production, along with taping where each light would be hung and all the information it would require, such as gel, template, type of light, and dimmer. During this show, I was also given the position of the Light Board Operator; I was very grateful to be able to help fill another role while also strengthening my programming skills!
